IQ Projects is pleased to announce that Hanbury Hall has won the prestigious 2025 RIBA West Midlands Award. The award highlights the architectural excellence of the new Courtyard Kitchen designed by Howells Architects for the National Trust.
IQ Projects was involved in the project's specialist glazing from an early stage, collaborating closely with Howells Architects to sensitively integrate contemporary glazing systems into the heritage setting.
A key feature is the slim-framed sliding glass doors, globally aligned with untreated oak timber posts (sourced from the estate's grounds). The minimal framing emphasises the traditional British clay tiles and exposed timber, reinforcing the authentic character of the design.
IQ also supplied and installed seven full-height slim-framed panes across the pavilion’s front elevation, ensuring smooth transitions between interior and exterior spaces.
The RIBA jury praised the precise integration of IQ's glazing within the Courtyard Kitchen, noting its significant contribution to both the functionality and beauty of the heritage-sensitive setting. Congratulations to all involved in this exceptional project.
