Savile Row is a finalist
25 Savile Row by Piercy & Co is a finalist in the Architects Journal Awards within the Refurb, Cultural and Heritage project category (refurb of the year up to £20 million). The project saw a huge refurbishment of the heritage Savile Row building and turned it into a trendy, boutique-style interior design.
The project consisted of a whole plethora of steel framed glazing systems including steel room partitions, steel framed windows, steel framed doors and steel entrance doors. This strong use of steel was included within the design to create an industrial aesthetic throughout the offices and building as a whole.
The interior design of the building utilised white walls and light wooden tones to draw the focus onto the steel systems. The Bauhaus inspired glazing is a highly designed feature in itself which the architects have used to create a cohesive design throughout.
The elegantly slim steel frames of the glazing allow an abundance of light to flow through into the office spaces, resulting in a beautifully light and airy atmosphere.
