his office building is situated on the corner of Kings Cross Road and Pentonville Road in London. The renovation and redesign of this building was part of the Pentonville Road Scheme designed by HÛT Architecture. All structural glazing used within this project was designed by IQ Projects.

The Director at HÛT, Andrew Whiting said, “For a building occupying such a prominent site, it had very little street presence and we saw this project as an opportunity to redefine the building’s relationship to its surroundings whilst creating high-quality office space.”

Due to planning conditions, the top floor extension was wrapped in a mirrored glass rain screen. IQ Projects designed and installed reflective glass cladding to the new floor of the Pentonville Road office building. These highly reflective structural glass panels reflect the surrounding environments, blending the added floor into the skyline. This floor becomes almost invisible when viewed from ground floor level. Internally, the frameless windows allow the occupants to see out over the views of metropolitan London.

Having these structural glass frameless windows in the office space increases the natural light intake into the office throughout the day with no framing obstruction. This office space can be perfectly lit throughout the day due to the frameless windows and no surrounding building blocking out the sun.
