Steel Partitions to London Office
Steel partitions for the newly renovated Farm Street
he 6,000 square foot renovation project entails a Cat A fit out of a standalone office building spread across two stories and accessed through a private gated courtyard close to Berkeley Square in Mayfair. The project’s scope encompasses the installation of a new atrium featuring a feature staircase, reception area, and new facilities with steel partitions to the London office.
The IQ Projects team worked closely with Knight Harwood Architects to design a set of bi-folding doors as well as thermally broken steel double doors with bespoke sidelights.
The bi-folding doors have been installed to allow access from inside the building to the outdoor terrace area which is one of many suntraps around the building. This outdoor access allows employees in the building to spend their lunch breaks in the sun, increasing the general mood within the office. The bi-folds have a completely flush threshold to ensure smooth wheelchair access is needed.
Internally, we designed and installed a fire rated steel framed Mondrian system that has two opening hinged doors as well as fixed partition glazing. This installation provides internal separation and enough privacy to carry out meetings without sacrificing natural light. The steel partitions provide exceptional thermal performance while adhering to the modern, industrial style of the building.
If you have a commercial project with a requirement for steel partitions in an office setting, please send us the drawings here!
