Residential Development
Villiers Mews
his modern development benefitted from various aluminium systems, creating a bespoke finish for the luxury multi-unit residential development. IQ worked alongside architects Zac Munro and project developers Collabor8 to produce unique results.
The new development is made up of two blocks, both blocks following different design concepts. The front, street-facing block features aluminium windows and rear-facing aluminium doors whilst the rear block followed a much more modern design. Timber cladding was constructed to sit alongside large elevations of aluminium framed glazing on the second block of residential units.
This project is a true testament to the diversity of slim framed aluminium products, with both traditional brick and modern timber exteriors being complemented by the addition of our sleek frames.
From the street view, aluminium casement windows from Sieger® Systems can be seen, enhancing the traditional orange brickwork and drawing attention to the modern elements. Upon entering the development there are courtyards and terrace areas to the rear of the first block, accessed by Sieger® 45 Sliding Doors. The use of sliding doors and floor to ceiling fixed pane windows grant these homes a massive amount of natural light.
The second, more modern block features corner to corner sliding doors for a striking design finish. This configuration captures the natural light and provides uninterrupted views thanks to the slim framing. One house within the development benefits from Sieger® Slim Sliding Doors on both floors, with a frameless balustrade on the first floor creating a modern Juliette balcony.
The aluminium systems used have sharp, square edges for a sleek finish and to maximise the daylight intake. The use of double-height aluminium windows with glass spandrel panels encourages light into the stairwell areas, ensuring every area of these homes benefit from light and luxury.
