Rosemoor Studios recently won a Schueco Excellence Award
IQ Projects recently featured in the Schueco Partner magazine which covered the recent Schueco Excellence Awards 2019. Now in their 6th year, the Schueco Excellence Awards continue to recognise outstanding design innovation on the latest contemporary architectural designs in the UK. This year the Schueco Awards saw the highest number of award entries than it’s ever seen.
Rosemoor Studios in Chelsea was entered into these awards by IQ Projects who completed the full glazing package for this luxury residential development. When judging the award entries, the judges looked for the level of creativity, innovation, technical skill and collaboration between the team involved in the project. Of course, design of the overall architecture and the Schueco Systems was a huge factor when choosing the winner of each of the ten award categories. The Schueco Award Ceremony took place, as usual, at a Gala Lunch on the 27th June at the Saatchi Gallery in London.
The 10 award categories included best: Cultural Building, Education Building, Refurbishment Project, Residential Development and Specialist Contractor. Rosemoor Studios won the Residential Development category for the stunning used of aluminium glazing systems. This project was designed by Haptic Architects and IQ Projects were the Specialist Glazing Contractor offering design and installation of all the glazing products.
Rosemoor Studios comprises a four-bedroom townhouse and various one and two-bedroom apartments. This luxury residential development was built within a conservation area and therefore the architectural design needed to be sympathetically designed to blend with the adjacent townhouses, whose facades utilise the same brick walls and stone-framed openings.
To maintain the light external façade of the building, the Schueco aluminium glazing windows and doors were finished in a specialist bronze coloured powder coat. This residential development glazing featured various Schueco fixed casement windows, aluminium casement doors and tilt and turn windows.
IQ Projects pride themselves on getting involved with projects at a very early stage to achieve a smooth-running project and quality finished aesthetic to architectural glazing projects. This was no exception with the Rosemoor Studios project which saw IQ, Haptic Architects and the main contractor working closely together to ensure the glazing package was in keeping with the original design and was installed with the highest efficiency.
